Jen Harper, Seattle City Editor Jen loves to travel to sunny spots, especially during Seattle's long, gray season-so she ends up flying a lot to avoid the gloom. But she sold her Volkswagen Beetle, so when it comes to traveling around town, she buses, walks and bikes to coffee shops, restaurants and the acupuncturist. Since receiving her journalism degree from the University of Georgia, Jen has worked as communications manager for the Atlanta City Council President, arts and entertainment editor for the Summit Daily News in Colorado and a freelance writer in Seattle. Her environmental crusade began at age 9 when she started writing letters to the first Pres. Bush, making such heady threats as, "If you don't do something, I'll find someone who can.
