Carol Harmon

Carol Harmon, director of the Career Connection Assessment Center at West Kentucky Technical College, was recently named the 2001 Career Counselor of the Year.

The award, given by the Kentucky Career Development branch of the Kentucky Counseling Association, recognizes professional excellence and volunteer service.

Harmon, a native of Benton, holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Murray State University.

She has served as a counselor in Kentucky for 28 years, working at Livington Central and Woodford County high schools before becoming a regional counselor and assessment director for Kentucky Tech Region I in 1990.

She joined the West Kentucky Technical College staff in 1993.
