Mr. Kurt Harbaugh

Kurt Harbaugh- (Symphony) is currently an adjunct faculty member at Lower Columbia College and teaches Music Fundamentals, Group Piano, Jazz Band and Percussion Ensemble. He also teaches K-8 music at Longview-Kelso Adventist School. He is Principal Percussionist with the Southwest Washington Symphony, Timpanist with the Columbia River Chamber Orchestra, Drummer for the Northwest Jazz Orchestra, Percussionist for the Northwest Wind Ensemble, performed with LCC Symphonic Band, was the bandleader for Cabaret 2004 and plays in several other groups who perform Jazz, Rock, Blues, Bluegrass, Country and Reggae Kurt received his Bachelor of Arts in Music from Central Washington University in 1991. Since then he has taught private music lessons and performed professionally throughout the local area.

Co-Conductor Youth Symphony, Mr. Kurt HarbaughKurt Harbaugh was raised in Kalama, Washington where he began his musical studies at a very early age.He received his Bachelor of Arts in Music from Central Washington University in 1991.Since then he has worked in the music retail business, taught private music lessons and performed professionally throughout the local area.

Kurt also teaches percussion ensemble at Lower Columbia College.He is Principal Percussionist with the Southwest Washington Symphony, Timpanist with the Columbia River Chamber Orchestra, performed with LCC Symphonic Band, was the bandleader for Cabaret 2004 and plays in several other groups who perform Jazz, Rock, Blues, Bluegrass, Country and Reggae.He has also appeared on several local recordings.

Kurt's other interests are golfing, fishing, hunting and spending time with family and his pets, Roxy, Midnight and Blackberry.
