Lawrence Hanser: Associate Director
Larry Hanser received his Ph.D. in industrial/organizational psychology from Iowa State University.From 1981 to 1989, he worked as a civilian scientist for the U.S. Army, where he helped design and later headed the largest personnel selection test validation project ever undertaken in the field of industrial/organizational psychology, "Project A: Improving the Selection, Classification, and Utilization of Army Enlisted Personnel."Since 1989, Dr. Hanser has been a member of the senior research staff at RAND.His work has included defense-related studies of individual organizational effectiveness, organizational change, technical training, and succession planning for senior leaders.He has also participated in RAND´s nondefense research on secondary and post-secondary education policy.
