Al Hanser

Sally and Al Hanser, long time residents of Sanibel, take pride in Sanibel and are a part of the fabric of our community. Al founded the Sanibel Captiva Trust Company, which, like them personally, takes being a good citizen very seriously. Al has served on every philanthropic board on the Island and currently chairs the Good Neighbor Foundation.

Sally, until she recently retired, had an event painting business, which enhanced many of the Island fund raising events. Sally and Al are proud parents of four children, seven grandchildren…all who love to visit Sanibel. The sign Sandy and Al are holding in the new offices of Sanibel Captiva Trust is $195.

This year's honorary chairperson is Al Hanser, Chairman and CEO of the Sanibel Captiva Trust Company.

The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company, founded by chairman and CEO Al Hanser, was the outstanding small business of Lee County.

The company was recognized for its contributions to the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation, the Old Schoolhouse Theater, and Care and Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW).Hanser is also chairman of the Cleveland Clinic's Leadership Board in Naples and Southwest Community Foundation.Others in the company are involved in the Lee Memorial Health System Foundation and Habitat for Humanity.
