About The Authors:
Hawaiian artist and writer Diana Hansen-Young is well known for her acrylic and watercolor paintings of Hawaiian women, which hang in international collections throughout the world.She has written and illustrated over a dozen books, and created hundreds of prints, posters, calendars, cards and gifts with her images.Diana was elected to the Hawai'i State Constitutional Convention in 1968 and the Hawai'i State House of Representatives in 1970.In 1992, she finished the Honolulu Marathon.In 1997, at age 50, she returned to school to take an MFA in Graduate Musical Theatre Writing (book and lyrics) from New York University, Tisch School of the Arts.Diana is a published member of Mystery Writers of America and ASCAP.Now that her two brilliant daughters are in Graduate and Law School, Diana paints and writes in Honolulu, New York, and Paris.
