Ryan HaneyBusy does not begin to describe a typical day for Ryan Haney at Jox.Over his three years with the station , Ryan has proven both his versitility and durability , serving in a variety of on and off air roles.These days , Ryan is not only the executive producer for the WJOX Morning Express , but also is co-host and co-producer of the WJOX Cheap Seats , heard afternoons 1 to 3 pm.In addition to that , he is the host for Countdown to Kickoff on Saturday mornings during football season.Ryan has been a part of the WJOX staff since August of 1998 , after working in the Sports Information Department at Auburn University.He is single and resides in Hoover.

The decision by WJOX to drop the Braves' broadcasts after being the Birmingham home for Braves baseball since 1992 angered some baseball fans in Birmingham and they expressed their displeasure to WJOX program director Ryan Haney.But Haney believed the decision was the right one.

"It was nothing against the Braves," Haney said after the decision became public knowledge."It was just that we had too much on our plate and something had to go and it was the Braves.It was partly because there are so many baseball games in a season and it runs into football season.Around here college football is our main interest."

Haney was right.

"We have so many sports programs, so much play-by-play stuff; it came down to clearing all the games the Braves had," Ryan Haney, program director at WJOX said."The problem with the Braves was the postseason took place in the middle of the football season.

"It was a tough decision," Haney said.
