Mike Hancock and his wife Mary moved to Farrcroft from Arlington in January 2000.He has been active on the Grounds Committee since 2001 and was chairman of the committee for two years.He was a founding member of the Garden Club.Elected to the Board at the November 2005 annual meeting.Mike retired from the United States Foreign Service in 1995 but still works part time for the Department of State.While in the Foreign Service, Mike and Mary lived in Mexico (twice), Sweden, Honduras, the UK, and Spain.His last foreign assignment was as American Consul General in Madrid.His interest in foreign affairs began during his assignment to Honduras as a Peace Corps Volunteer.He is a graduate of the University of Denver and holds a Master's degree from the George Washington University.
