According to Melinda Hancock, the executive director of Culpeper Regional Hospital Foundation, the donor wishes to encourage large individual and corporate gifts."The donor came forward with this very special offer to inspire large gifts and see the projects brought to completion as soon as possible," she says."This sense of dedication to the region has certainly inspired our entire campaign committee, and we hope it inspires others in the region we serve to support this campaign for these centers."

So far, says Hancock, the hospital foundation has pledges of $4.1 million toward the $7.5 million cost of the project.

Seeking to encourage more corporate giving, the donor has stipulated that only minimum pledges of $25,000--payable over a five-year period--will qualify, according to Melinda Hancock of the Culpeper Regional Hospital Foundation.

"The donor came forward with this very special offer to inspire large gifts and see the projects brought to completion as soon as possible," Hancock said.

The hospital is trying to raise $7.5 million to build a new three-story, 5,000-square-foot cardiovascular and cancer treatment centers in the next five years.It also plans a 30,000-square-foot rehabilitation center that will include the area's first aquatic therapy pool.

It hopes to raise $3.5 million from the public by the end of the year.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Joseph Gawler,s Sons, Inc. and a service will be held at Washington Hebrew Congregation, 3935 Macomb Street, NW Washington, D.C. today at 3 p.m. and interment will be at Salem Fields Cemetery on Long Island, N.Y. The Ball was a sold-out affair of dinner and dancing with 200 guests in attendance, said Melinda Hancock, CRH Foundation director.

Asked how she cares for her heart, Hancock said, "I love to dance with my children and husband whenever I can."
