Maxine Hancock is a professor of Interdisciplinary Studies and Spiritual Theology at Regent College.She is also an author, conference speaker and broadcaster, with appearances on Vision TV and the CBC.Her many books and articles have gained a wide audience and awards from both the Canadian Church Press and the Evangelical Press Association (US).Her leadership in communicating the Christian faith in Canada has been honoured with the Leslie K. Tarr award (lifetime achievement in Christian writing) and the Leading Women's Award in Communications and Media (2004).

Maxine's experience in the theme of our promotional weekend includes virtually "every stage of family life as it is now lived in our cultural context", from the perspectives of both the child and the parent as each goes through various life stages: including the early parent/child relationship, dealing with joy and heartache as we/our children become adults and make our/their own life choices, dealing with "parenting again" with one's own grandchildren, and other adjustments in parent/child roles.Maxine is currently working on the issue of "Seeing our Loved Ones Home" (the working title for her latest work on "the blessings and perplexities of walking with our aged parents in their final decade(s) of life".
