Pres. Max Hancock of the Tooele East Stake , referred in his funeral speech to the dozens of American flags flying at half-mast along the streets leading to the White Pine Chapel.As he drove past those flags , Hancock's thoughts turned to great American heroes who gave their lives for our freedom.Even though Dunman didn't die on foreign soil , he gave his life while making the streets of Salt Lake City a safer place , Hancock said.As he passed by on his bike , people in those ( Salt Lake City ) neighborhoods felt more peace because he was there to protect them and to make the area a better place for everyone.He gave his life as other heroes of this country have done , protecting us..Hancock as well as Hurst and Hodson vowed that in the days , weeks , months and years to come , they will try to make things as easy as possible for Dunman's widow and young daughters.
