Charles Hancock, CEO
Prior to founding Anglo-Suisse Capital, Mr Hancock has worked in international corporate finance/mergers and acquisitions for investment banks for over 22 years.During this time, he was involved with some of the most significant, innovative and complex transactions of the period.Between 1984 to 1987, Mr Hancock worked for Samuel Montagu, 1987 to 1990 he worked for Morgan Grenfell, 1990 to 1996 he worked for NatWest Markets, and in 1996 Mr Hancock founded Anglo-Suisse Capital.
Some of the deals that Mr Hancock was responsible for included Argyll's £2.5b hostile bid for Distillers against Guinness; WPP's hostile US tender offer for advertising agency J.Walter Thompson; the Joint Anglo-French flotation of Euro Tunnel; the forming and raising a £483m European venture capital fund for Electra Investment Trust; the joint hostile US tender offer for Bermuda's Sea Containers by the Tiphook and Sweden's Stena; Rentokil's successful hostile take over bid for Securiguard; and, advising the large German conglomerate VEBA on its European joint venture with Cable & Wireless, including the £1 billion market purchase of 10% of Cable & Wireless, the largest stock exchange transaction at the time.
