Hanbury to manage multi-cap UK equity portfolio at R&MWednesday 28th June 2006: 14:56

Dan Hanbury will manage a core multi-cap UK equity portfolio for River & Mercantile, when he joins the group in late October.
James Barham, who founded River & Mercantile, said Hanbury, who has worked at Investec since 2000, would also co-manage a UK smaller companies/special situations fund with Richard Staveley, who joined R&M from SGAM along with colleague Hugh Sergeant.

The funds will not employ the exact same "four factor" quantitative methodology successfully used by Hanbury in the Investec UK Smaller Companies fund, however there is expected to be an element of quantitative screening employed across the new R&M fund range.
