Donn Hanbidge is Chief Financial Officer at Ontario Power Generation Inc. (OPG).He is responsible for providing financial leadership and operational support to OPG's business units and directing the Company's treasury operation and financing programs, corporate financial reporting, pension investment oversight, energy risk management, audit, taxation and certain supply chain functions.

Donn Hanbidge obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario and is a Chartered Accountant.

In an interview yesterday, Donn Hanbridge, OPG's vice-president of finance, said some of the cost increase comes from spending on the three units that will start later.

"There is an estimated increase of about $60 million" for restarting the first unit, he said.

Despite the rising costs, the Ontario government has taken no action toward setting up an inquiry into the delays and massive cost overruns at Pickering A. Premier Ernie Eves promised to establish the inquiry last November.
