Nick Hanbidge is an Associate solicitor at Theodore Goddard, where he is a member of the Media and Internet Litigation team and the E-commerce Group.His areas of work include defamation, domain name disputes, data protection, advertising and retail law.

Nick's Internet related work has focussed on domain name disputes and advertising.He has been involved in the successful resolution for IP rights holders of a number of cybersquatting disputes, some by recourse to the domain name dispute resolution procedures of ICANN and Nominet.He has also been working on a strategy of pre-emptive domain name registrations on behalf of a client who represents the interests of a globally renowned author.On the advertising front, Nick has surveyed controls over advertising and new media and advised on controls over SMS.

Nick has written articles for a number of specialist publications, including Entertainment Law Review, Electronic Business Law, the Press Gazette and Revolution.He is also an Associate Editor of Theodore Goddard's Internet and e-commerce newsletter e-comment, and a contributor to Media Brief, another of the firm's newsletters.
