John F. Hanbidge, BA, LLB, MA, is currently employed as an Assistant Crown Attorney in the London-Middlesex County Crown Attorneys' Office in the Province of Ontario.He was instrumental in the development of a protocol and the implementation of a locally administered Adult Person Alternative Measures Programme that is unique to the citizens of London-Middlesex.He also developed a specialty in the office of the Crown Attorney in mental health issues and has helped develop and implement a protocol, as well as, serve as the administrator of the Mental Health Diversion Service for mentally disordered, developmentally disabled and brain injured accused persons that the London-Middlesex County Crown Attorney's Office has involvement with.John also chaired a task force developing proposals for a Mental Health Court Clinic and Forensic Specialty Team for London/Middlesex County.He was selected as a member of the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care's Provincial Forensic Mental Health Services Expert Advisory Panel.
