Vince Han, co-founder, and Brad Williams, director of product marketing, visited campus for the second time last week to talk to Tech students about the Ruckus Network, formerly known as College Entertainment Network.
...
According to Han, Ruckus has formalized an agreement with Michigan Tech, and will begin a pilot this fall on campus.

Some features that Han and Williams mention with the Ruckus interface are an inbuilt music player, which will allow students to incorporate their existing music files and play lists with their Ruckus downloads, a section with information and news about artists and their work and local area events and news.
Han and Williams also suggested a concept of developing a network of college-produced content that will allow students to produce content for Ruckus, post it locally and submit it to be considered for posting at other colleges with the Ruckus Network. This would allow student writers to share their content around the nation, as well as possibly see content from other universities.
Han said the alpha Ruckus interface should be complete in approximately a month.

Han was also honest about some of the shortcoming the interface was likely to have in the initial releases, such as taking time to perfect and expand some of the local content and events."You shoot yourself in the foot if you promise a Ferrari and show up in a Volvo," he noted.
