Her husband, Victor Han, 34, was arraigned Friday in Justice Court in the suburban Town of Stony Point, about 40 miles northwest of New York City, on charges of promoting a suicide attempt, reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child.

The criminal complaint prepared by New York State Park Police said Victor Han drove the family from Staten Island to the state park.Once there, and aware of his wife's suicidal state of mind, he walked away from the minivan "with the belief that Hejin Han wished to ... commit suicide," the complaint said.
Police had said Thursday that it looked like an accident that occurred as Victor Han enjoyed the local scenery.
But by Friday they said the evidence indicated Han left the car knowing that his wife was suicidal.Han was being held at the Rockland County jail pending another hearing Tuesday in Stony Point.

Victor Han, 35, is to be arraigned this morning on charges of promoting a suicide attempt, reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child, police said.

Still later, cops said Han told him his wife warned him she would harm herself and their girls if given the opportunity.
Victor Han apparently got out of the minivan, left the motor running, and gave her that chance, police said.

Victor Han had told investigators the 300-foot fall Wednesday occurred just moments after he stepped out of the minivan to snap a picture at a scenic overlook, they said.

Han told police he stopped on Perkins Memorial Drive, a two-lane road that circles the mountain and offers spectacular panoramas of the Hudson River Valley.
He also told investigators that he put the van in park but it started to move and that he desperately tried to grab the bumper to stop its deadly roll.But the vehicle slipped between two boulders that act as a barrier from the precipice and tumbled down the mountainside.
The mother died as she was being pulled from the van by rescuers minutes later.She was not wearing a seat belt, police said.

Victor Han used to work as an architect for Land Planning and Engineering Consultants of Mariners Harbor before setting out on his own and opening Team Hana Design in Flushing.
