The new facility is designed to reclaim wafers for 8¡¨ IC fabs, and will serve local customers in the first stage of its operation. ¡§ With the completion of this plant, we can provide local fabs with quality service and return them wafers very quickly so that our customers save time and money in inventory, ¡¨ said Mr. T. L. Han, President of San Chih Semiconductor Company.Total processing capacity of San Chih is 20, 000 wafers per month in the first stage, and it will expand capacity to 45, 000 wafers per month in 1999 to serve more customers.
