JOYCE KELLY HAMRIC

Funeral services for Joyce Kelly Hamric, 77, of Lebanon, TN, who passed away Feb. 22, 1998 at Baptist Hospital in Nashville, were held today, Feb. 25, at Weatherford Mortuary in Oak Ridge, with burial in Oak Ridge Memorial Park.

She was the daughter of Harry A. Kelly and Juanita Chisam Kelly, and grew up in Bridgeport, AL.Mrs. Hamric attended Middle Tennessee State University and The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She taught school for 40 years and was active in the Oak Ridge Retired Teachers' Association.She was one of the first members of the Oak Ridge Symphony as a violinist.As an Oak Ridge resident for 52 years, she was a charter member of Kern Memorial United Methodist Church and later joined the First United Methodist Church.She had made her home in Lebanon, TN, since 1995, and was a member of First Methodist Church there at the time of her death.
