Frank has a masters degree in analytical chemistry and more than 30 years experience in formulation, analysis and regulatory aspects of pharmaceutical R&D, including biopolymers as active drug substances.

Frank is currently cooperating with the British Pharmacopoeia Commission in the writing of a new alginate product monograph.
