Steven Hammond

Terrasculpt Designs began as an idea 30 years ago when its founder, Steven Hammond, was an Air Force fighter pilot.He marveled at the beauty of the earth from high altitude, especially in the morning when the greens and blues were most vibrant, and the snows of Mt. Rainier glistened in shades of white, tan and gray.He never lost his fascination with that view.

In 1999, Hammond began to recapture that vision.With the memory of his college sculpture classes and a growing collection of maps and satellite photos, he began to sculpt and build highly detailed replicas of the islands and mountains he loved.He took early retirement from his position as a marketing officer for a major insurance company and formed a company to produce and market these three-dimensional memories as destination-specific giftware.
