    Fred Hammond of 1232 Turner said that he is the President of the Old Town Commercial Association and that the work in Old Town is still underway.He said their request for this funding is very crucial to maintaining the momentum they need to complete their efforts.

    Fortunately for the OTCA, Fred decided to move back to Lansing, taking a particular interest in the increasing energy of Old Town.At the time, the area was still getting on its feet, and Fred?s investment in the former Estes Furniture showroom made a major difference in the area.Fred and several other developers renovated the space into beautiful offices and shops?it was the largest development in Old Town at the time.

    Currently, Fred does property management and deployment in the Lansing Area; he owns Hammond Properties, located in Old Town.He also maintains a machine shop in the area and enjoys metal working and furniture design between his travels abroad.
