Mrs. Abigail M. Hammond

ABIGAIL M. HAMMOND joined Byrd & Associates PLC in August of 2006.Mrs. Hammond received her undergraduate degree at Clemson University, where she was awarded a Bachelor of Science cum laude in Business Administration with a minor in Political Science.

Mrs. Hammond is also a graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law where, in 2006, she received a Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.).Mrs. Hammond completed her final year of law school as a Visiting Student at Vanderbilt University Law School.While at the University of South Carolina Law School, Mrs. Hammond served as a member of the Southeastern Environmental Law Journal.

Before attending law school, Mrs. Hammond worked as a paralegal, handling personal injury litigation and workers' compensation claims at Fennel & Maguire, Attorneys at Law in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.While attending law school, Mrs. Hammond worked with insurance defense firms in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Nashville, Tennessee.Mrs. Hammond also worked at the Tennessee Attorney General's Office in the Tobacco Enforcement Division and the Environmental Division.
