Benny Hamilton of KRADD talked with the council about funding.He related that the $100,000 in emergency funds the city applied for has been approved, with a string attached.None of the money can be used on the project where any work was done previously, which eliminates using those funds on the vocational school well.
Hamilton also discussed borrowing money from Rural Development, which the city could take 30 or 40 years to repay."Before I start any in-depth paperwork, I wanted to get your input," Hamilton told the council.

Hamilton said he expected construction to be complete at Carr Creek by December 2008, then it will take a little more time to work out bugs and get everything on line.He added that turning down a grant could possibly cause some problems later.

Hamilton recommended applying for the full amount of grants and if there are problems, there would be a period when the city could still back out.

Hamilton said with federal funds, payment for the easements would be limited to an appraised amount.
