On Feb. 17 and 18, the skies above the War in the Pacific National Historical Park in Asan will be filled with kites of all shapes and sizes including those up to 90 feet long, according to Monica Guzman, the foundation's executive director.Admission to the event is free.
"We encourage everyone to come out and enjoy the day," Guzman said.

"It is really nice to see a grandfather with their grandchildren trying to fly kites, and young mothers with their strollers just enjoying the day," Guzman said.
...
"It is growing every year," Guzman said of the attendance.
And if you so happen to drive by the park on Feb. 16, you will get a glimpse of the kite flyers hosting a demonstration for public school students with special needs.Although this event is not for the general public, that doesn't prevent drivers from getting a sneak peek at the show, Guzman said.
"Because Make-A-Wish is about children, we make a special effort to bring the show to students with special needs," she said.
She encourages the public to bring the whole family to witness some professional kite flying and at the same time support a non-profit organization.
"Come down, fly a kite and help all of us share the power of a wish," Guzman said.
