Who is Dr. Gutting?
Dr. John G. Gutting, Ph.D. is Adjunct Professor of Pastoral Studies at the Athenaeum of Ohio/Mount St. Mary's Seminary, a Roman Catholic graduate school of Theology.He has been the Athenaeum's recipient of the Greater Cincinnati Corsortium of Colleges and Universities Celebration of Teaching Award twice, in 1992 and again in 1996.
Through his private practice, InSights Unlimited, Dr. Gutting offers spiritual direction, courses, presentations, workshops, training events, and organizational consulting services.
Dr. Gutting served as Director of the Office for Parish Organization Development for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cincinnati for seven years prior to coming to the Athenaeum of Ohio.He has also served as Coordinator of Adult Ministry Training at the Milford Spiritual Center, a ministry of the Chicago Province of the Society of Jesus.
Dr. Gutting holds a Master's Degree in Pastoral Counseling from the Athenaeum of Ohio as well as certificates in Reality Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, and Structural and Strategic Family Therapy.He also teams with others to offer personally directed retreats and training in spiritual companionship, spiritual direction, and retreat direction.
