Jason C. Gutting, MD, has been appointed Assistant Medical Director of Emergency Pediatric Medicine.He is a graduate of Saint Louis University School of Medicine, and completed his residency at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, where he serves as an assistant clinical professor in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.Board-certified in pediatrics, Dr. Gutting has been an instructor of Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) since 2002.PALS is a comprehensive course that teaches early recognition of, and treatment for, cardiopulmonary arrest in children.Dr. Gutting also is certified in advanced trauma life support and neonatal resuscitation.
Under the direction of Dr. Gutting, the Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital pediatric emergency department also includes G. Rosy Herath, MD; William C. Hollifield Jr., MD, PhD; and Andrew A. Zupan, MD, PhD -- all board-certified in pediatric medicine.
