    Ms. Gutmann is a Charter Fellow of the College of Employee Benefits Counsel.An active member of the American Bar Association, she served as one of eight members of the senior editorial board for both the original and second edition of Employee Benefits Law, a comprehensive text published by the Labor and Employment Section of the ABA.She also served as chair of the Labor and Employment Section's Committee on Employee Benefits and on committees and task forces in the ABA Section of Taxation and the Section of Corporation, Banking and Business Law, involving Qualified Domestic Relations Orders, Title VII Issues, COBRA Regulations, Welfare Plan Reform and Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation.She is a former chair and past member of the Board of Directors of the American Petroleum Labor Lawyers Association.

    Ms. Gutmann is a member of the State Bar Association of Michigan and the Washtenaw County Bar Association (Labor and Employment Section and the Alternate Dispute Resolution Section).
