District Attorney Charles J. Hynes presented top prosecutor Anne Gutmann with the association's Robert N. Kaye Memorial Award.

Gutmann, chief of Criminal Court in the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office, has served in the prosecutor's office for 20 years.

She has served in many capacities: as a trial attorney in the Trial Division and Homicide Bureau; as Deputy Bureau Chief and Executive in the Trial Division.

Gutmann graduated from Clark University and from Georgetown University School of Law, where she was a member of the American Criminal Law Review.

"Every attorney who has had Anne Gutmann as an adversary, or has dealt with her in her capacity as a trial prosecutor or supervisor, can be assured that he or she has been treated with respect and consideration and with a view towards achieving justice," a colleague said.
