Puppets from Melbourne puppeteer Naomi Guss's show City Head, have recently been used in Amy's Gift, an online advertising film advertisement for CollectZing, a new social networking site focusing on collectors.Noami was also one of the puppeteers, and it is a first foray into film work for her too.

Naomi would also like to publicise a new venture of hers called The Bump In Project, a two-year project which aims to assist Victorian emerging theatre workers.

Naomi is our Technical Coordinator, looking after things like insurance, venues, lighting and sound, extra cast or crew, and other such technical aspects of a production.Naomi also has taken on much of the publicity.Naomi has worked as a theatre technician with many professional theatre companies around Melbourne, including Arena Theatre Company, Red Stitch Actors Company, La Mama, community venues and other fringe groups.

Jeany is our Puppetry Designer and Coordinator.She came from Korea to learn puppetry in Australia, and she has become a teacher instead!She teaches Susan and Naomi many skills and techniques to create the unique puppets used in their shows.As well as coordinating all of our efforts towards making the puppets, she designs many of them, and quite often designs and builds the larger or more difficult set pieces.Jeany has extensive experience working in puppetry, having spent over ten years creating and performing puppetry in Korea.She has worked for a children's television program there, and currently works as a venue technician at Swinburne's David Williamson Theatre.

Naomi is a theatre technician, puppeteer and editor/proofreader.She also enjoys writing plays, and has written six unpublished short scripts.

Since graduating from Swinburne Uni.'s Diploma of Arts (Small Companies & Community Theatre), she has worked with Red Stitch Actors Theatre, Arena Theatre Company and the Polyglot Puppet Theatre.She has worked as a Technical Stage Manager for the Melbourne Fringe Festival and at La Mama's as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.As well as this, she works as a techie at various community centres.

In 2003, she established 'Sticky Apple Legs', a puppetry based theatre company and produced their first show, 'Sticky Ballerina Legs' that same year.

Naomi currently writes for Arts Hub, and is the Web Administrator for The Gorilla.She also produces a weekly newsletter about the theatre scene in Melbourne, containing jobs, auditions, classes, events, articles and funding info.
