Gurvitch of Brooklyn, a REALTOR for more than 30 years, is the principle broker for Max Wm Gurvitch in Brooklyn.
He is a former five time president of the Brooklyn Board of REALTORS, where he also chaired on numerous committees including ethics, executive, equal opportunity, grievance, leadership development, legislative policy, nominating, professional standards, property management, RPAC and rent control/rent stabilization.In 1988 and 2002, he was recognized as the Brooklyn REALTOR of the Year.
Gurvitch has served on the NYSAR Board of Directors and Delegate Body.He,s also served on or chaired many committees including executive, legislative policy, housing opportunities, legal action, commercial lien law and the REALTORS Housing Relief Fund.
He has served on the board of governors for both the New York State Commercial Association of REALTORS and the New York State Society of Real Estate Appraisers.
At the national level, Gurvitch has served on the NAR Federal Taxation Committee, Affordable Housing PAG and Commercial Alliance.He has served as a Federal Political Coordinator to Senator Charles Schumer.
Active in his community, he is a director of the Colonial Club and serves as Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 234.He is a member of the Bay Ridge Lions and Association of the United States Army.
