The Baches said that Sark Tourism Committee chairman Colin Guille had not understood how Holiday Showdown worked. (0149442)
Holiday Showdown, which is intended to be light, family entertainment, featured the Bache family, from England, and the Commerfords, from Australia, sharing each other's ideal holiday.Last week, Sark's tourism chief Colin Guille criticised the programme for taking the Commerfords back to La Sablonnerie Hotel when they had clearly not enjoyed their first visit.Mr Bache accused Mr Guille of misunderstanding how the programme worked.

The Australian family had felt uncomfortable during dinner at the hotel and Mr Guille was disappointed that they had to go back there for a cream tea.‘After they'd had such a bad experience there I think it was a shame to take them back,' said Mr Guille.

‘I'm also not quite sure how Colin Guille was able to read my mind over the horse-riding incident. ‘I am not in any way an experienced rider and when my horse bolted, I realised instantly I had no control and, before he went faster or further, I decided to very quickly get off,' he said.
