    After graduating from the University of Warwick, Suzanne taught in Japan prior to returning to university to complete an MA in Sport, Culture and Society.She taught in Further Education for five years before completing her PhD in ,Children's Experiences of Physical Education'.

    Suzanne joined the university teaching staff in 2002.Her main role focuses on the teaching of sociological issues within physical education and sport in which she runs an extension study routeway.She also leads PE specialist modules as part of the university's Masters in Education programme.

    The research interests of Suzanne concern children's experiences of physical education and physical activity.Most recently she has completed work with the families of children taking part in an obesity intervention programme, New LEAF, run by the university in collaboration with St Richard's hospital.Read more

    She is external examiner for the PGCE at The University of Reading and an active member of the British Educational Research Association's special interest group for Physical Education and Sports Pedagogy.
