    Enabling netcentric warfare - the process by which data can be distributed across all geographies and all personnel without needing to move large command and control centers - is a vital component of the U.S. Department of Defense's transformation strategy.

    In his new role, Mr. Groves will lead the development of leading-edge technology and service initiatives in support of Segovia's current and future DOD-related deployments.

    To accomplish this, Mr. Groves will maintain frequent in-person contact with U.S. military organizations and affiliated user communities to determine likely upcoming requirements, directives and goals.Based on his findings, he will guide Segovia's internal research and development team.

    Segovia President and CEO Mike Wheeler said the appointment of Mr. Groves is a critical step in Segovia's continued evolution.
