Steve Groves Born in Ottawa in 1948, Steve got his first guitar at age eight and began to teach himself to play guitar boogie, essentially boogie-ing ever since.

In high school Steve played in local bands performing at dances, weekend resorts and local night clubs.

Steve met pianist Cecil Taylor in Montreal at the Rising Sun jazz club in the late seventies and moved to New York shortly after.
...
Over the next fifteen years Steve played with hundreds of musicians in every style of music. Including Jazz, Blues, Gospel, Funk, Top Pop, Reggae, Rock, Big Band, Avant Garde, Free, Classical & Swing.

Steve Groves of the Ottawa Guitar School fit perfectly with our vision and we are pleased to announce that Steve will be offering lessons to aspiring musicians of all ages to promote the growth and development of musical knowledge.Groves offers classes in Rock, Blues, Acoustic, Jazz and Classical music and private or group guitar lessons.He also offers a Children's music course for young children and their parents.
