Steve is currently a master's student at Duquesne University majoring in Music Theory/Composition.His bachelor's degree is also from Duquesne, where he majored in Music Technology with a concentration in Recording Arts and Sciences.Currently a member of the Duquesne University Wind Symphony and Jazz Band, Steve has performed in many venues including Carnegie Hall and Heinz Hall in Pittsburgh, as well as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York City.

Steve has also been a teacher at May's Music Shoppe in Butler, PA for over two years, with a studio of approximately twenty students.
