Stacey Groves

STACEY GROVES, LMFT, ICAC II Outpatient Counselor Stacey has been in the field of substance abuse for about thirteen years working in various settings including detox, inpatient, halfway house, and outpatient. Stacey acquired her certification in substance abuse counseling in 1998 originally as a CADAC II and is currently certified as an ICAC II. She received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Indiana University in 1993 and her Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Indiana State University in 2002. Stacey became a licensed therapist in 2005. Prior to returning to Amethyst House in January 2007, Stacey worked as the Program Supervisor/Addictions Therapist for the Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program at the Hamilton Center in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Addiction Counselor Stacey Groves says there is help for teens with prescription addictions, "Drug and alcohol groups, intensive groups where they meet two or three times a week for several hours.Also, depending on the severity of the addiction, maybe one-on-one counseling."
