Nina Gross , Music Specialist
Ms. Gross is a classically-trained musician who has taught viola, violin and piano privately as well as elementary music in public schools. She has played with several orchestras and ensembles, including the Bronx Symphony, Yale Symphony, Palisades Chamber Players, DeKalb and Rome Symphonies, Sun Dog String Quartet and Stradivariables.
Ms. Gross attended Interlochen Arts Academy and Yale University.She has a Master,s Degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Education, and has written for the Weekly Reader.Ms. Gross has been a stay-at-home mom to her son and daughter for the past seven years, during which time she taught her children cello and violin.Ms. Gross provides a variety of music-related activities to the AMIS community, including songs and musical exercises as well as violin and piano lessons.She hopes eventually to establish a mini Suzuki-style orchestra at the school.
