    William Groenekamp

    William Groenekamp, Director of Executive Search, received his B.A. in Economics from Principia College and his M.B.A. with emphasis in Human Resources from the University of Southern California. His career includes corporate leadership roles in Human Resources, plus consulting and executive search. His corporate experience includes work with Rockwell (North American Aviation), The Rand Corporation, a publishing firm and an electronics manufacturing company.

    For more than 20 years, Bill has conducted executive searches for key candidates in diverse industries. As a generalist, he has placed experienced professionals in managerial, technical and administrative positions. Searches have covered a broad range of industries, which include but are not limited to: manufacturing, aerospace, hi-tech, entertainment, and health care.

    He has served on the Board of Directors of The Employers Group (formerly M&M)., on the Advisory Board of Second Careers, on the Advisory Board of the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Safety Council, and on the Advisory Board for Human Resources at Chapman University. In addition, he served two years as President of PIHRA. He was awarded their highest honor, "Excellence in Human Resources. Mr. Groenekamp also served on SHRM's Area Six Board of Directors (Human Resources organizations in the western states) and on the California Board of Directors (Human Resources organization for the State).

    Mr. Groenekamp has been active in all aspects of Human Resources (HR) for over twenty five years.Clients have been in diverse industries, e.g. entertainment, airlines, finance, banking, manufacturing, data processing, research, universities and non-profits.Prior to establishing his consulting firm , Mr. Groenekamp directed the personnel functions of a number of corporations.His achievements have been in all areas of Human Resources.

    In Employment, Mr. Groenekamp has managed Employment Departments and has recruited, as an in-house consultant and as an independent search consultant, for a large number of corporations, including those in entertainment, electronics, health care, hospitality and finance.

    In Compensation, Mr. Groenekamp has designed and implemented a large number of wage and salary structures and programs for companies in diverse industries.He conducts salary surveys on an annual and on a project basis, both through out the nation and in the local area.Mr. Groenekamp wrote a chapter on Compensation in McGraw Hill's book, Handbook of Human Resources Administration.He has led Compensation seminars for the American Management Association and served as Compensation Manager for The Rand Corporation for eight and one half years.

    In Personnel Policies and Systems, he has written Policy Manuals and Employee Handbooks for several corporations.In addition, he has set-up personnel systems and designed various personnel forms.For small growing companies, he has also served as Director of Human Resources until organizations were large enough to support their own staffs.

    In Employment Law, Mr. Groenekamp has kept management informed on State and Federal labor laws, preventing major problems and saving considerable sums of money and court appearances.Problem areas have included equal employment and sexual harassment.He has also worked with labor unions and was successful in defeating union organizing attempts.

    Mr. Groenekamp received his B.A. in Economics and his M.B.A., with emphasis in Personnel and Industrial Relations from the University of Southern California.He just completed a two year term on the Board of Directors of The Employers Group (formerly M & M).He serves on the Advisory Board of Second Careers, on the Advisory Board of the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Safety Council and on the Advisory Board for Human Resources at Chapman University.In addition, he just completed two years as President of PIHRA.They awarded him their highest honor, "Excellence In Human Resources."He presently serves as Deputy Director - Southern California, for the California Human Resources Management Council and as Senior HR Liaison Director for Area VI of SHRM.He has also published in national HR publications and lectured on Human Resources topics.
