The recipients of the 2007 Herbert Hawks Scholarship are recent Winfield High School graduates, Joshua Groene and Megan Ziegler.

While at WHS, Josh Groene played football, basketball and tennis for four years, earning AVCTL Div. II 2nd team defensive back honors.

He also played MAYB basketball for six summers.He was a member of the W-Club and was named to the Principal's and Scholastic Honor Rolls.

He is an active member of Holy Name Catholic Church.He was employed by the Winfield Recreation Commission in the summer.
