Women's tennis soared to unprecedented heights under the leadership of former Head Coach Julie Greenwood '96. The team captured two consecutive NCAA championships, in 2001 and 2002, and consistently competed with the best teams in the country. Last year, the Ephs posted a 19-7 record, earned second place in the NESCAC championships and advanced to the NCAA semifinals, where they finally fell 5-0 to eventual first-place team Washington and Lee.
After four years as a player and nine years as a coach, Greenwood concluded her time at Williams. She now serves as the executive director of Squash Haven, an urban squash program for kids in New Haven, Conn. One of her former players takes her position at head coach. -
