Don Greenwell, Jr. is the Vice President of Walbridge Aldinger responsible for all Healthcare and Commercial Construction Operations and also serves as Chairman of the DIG Construction (Devon Group) Operating Committee.
He has worked in the construction industry for more than 35 years and is a 21-year veteran of Walbridge Aldinger.His education includes a Civil Engineering Degree from Michigan State University as well as post-graduate studies at Michigan State University and the University of Houston.Greenwell is a Registered Professional Engineer along with General Contractor Licenses in Michigan, Louisiana and Arizona.His position as Construction Executive includes numerous award-winning Healthcare and Research projects ranging in size from $60 million to $950 million.The Detroit Medical Center Central Region Relocation, the State of Michigan Center for Forensic Psychiatry, and the Miami Heart Institute are just a few of his larger healthcare accomplishments.
Throughout his construction career, Mr. Greenwell has steadily progressed through the construction ranks including Laborer, Layout Engineer, Superintendent, Estimator, Project Manager, Director, and VP of Operations.His experience covers a diverse range of large construction endeavors including healthcare, research, higher education, museums, industrial, offshore petroleum structures, heavy civil, highways, and bridges.Along with his broad range of capabilities and education, he has also been an involved member in the National Society of Professional Engineers and the Associated General Contractors, Detroit Chapter.
