   Tucson, Ariz. – The Association of Sales & Marketing Companies (ASMC) Foodservice division presented its Jerry Waxler Industry Service Award to Jack Greenwald here at the Association's Top to Top Conference. This year marked the 7th anniversary of the Conference, and the second year the award has been presented.
   
   ASMC created the prestigious honor in recognition of the many outstanding contributions that foodservice sales and marketing agents have made to the industry through the years. The award recognizes individual sales agents who have shown a long-term commitment to the advancement of the industry and their communities.
   
   This year's recipient, Jack Greenwald, is past owner/president of West Michigan Sales, which became W.M.S. We Market Success, Inc.
   
   Jack began his career in the industry with a coffee distributor in Toledo, Ohio. Following that, he was a DSR with John Sexton & Company (now U.S. Foods). After subsequently working in a high capacity with a foodservice sales agency in Detroit, Jack opened his own company, which he grew from two employees to its current number: 51.
   
   For 44 years Jack Greenwald has defined, stretched and re-defined our industry. He served on the ASMC Foodservice Board of Governors from 1994-1996. He is past president of the Broker Management Council, president of Michigan School Food Service Association, president of Great Lakes Ice Cream and Fast Food Association, member of Chef & Child Foundation Industry Advisory Board, member of IFMA Broker Advisory Board and the IFMA Planning Committee. Jack also volunteers as commissioner of youth athletic organizations in his community.
   
   Jack and his wife, Mary, have been married 40 years. They have two children and four grandchildren.
   
   The award was presented by Rick Abraham, president & COO of ASMC Foodservice, who notes, "Jack was instrumental in providing strategic direction for the ASMC Foodservice association during its formative years.
