   In 1990 Florida Hospital administrators asked Dr. David Greenlaw to establish the College of Health Sciences as the educational arm of their organization.

   In 2000, Dr. Greenlaw started searching for a way to endow the college.He began exploring relationships with organizations on the cutting edge of educational technology, including the U.S. Navy.What emerged was an initiative to create a company that would provide internet-delivered continuing medical education courses, and ultimately establish an endowment to the Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences.That company has become echelon.
