Duncan A. Greenhalgh, Ph.D. is an associate in the Patent and Intellectual Property Practice Group.Dr. Greenhalgh specializes in the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights primarily in the field of life sciences, and represents private and publicly traded companies, and medical and academic institutions.Dr. Greenhalgh works closely with clients to develop and enforce intellectual property rights to support business objectives, which includes: general counseling on patent, trademark and copyright matters, development of intellectual property portfolios, technology licensing, validity and infringement opinions, and the enforcement intellectual property rights.
Dr. Greenhalgh received his B.Sc., with honors, in Biotechnology, from the University of Leeds, U.K., his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Leeds., U.K., and his J.D., magna cum laude, from Suffolk University law school.After his graduate studies, he worked for four years as a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Chemistry at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Dr. Greenhalgh is admitted to the bar in Massachusetts (1998), the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts (1999), the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (1999), and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (1994).
