Dave has been involved in the program for the past three years; he is in his second year as a Head Instructor and his first year as a teacher at Donnan Elementary.Dave got involved in the spring of 2003 after finishing his final teaching practicum.Dave has the unique challenge this year of being both the Teacher and Head Instructor for group 2, a role he is very excited about.

Although Dave excelled as a soccer player during his high school days, he turned his effort to hockey playing junior for the Trail Smokeaters of the BCHL and Notre Dame Hounds in the SJHL.Dave enjoyed a successful junior career being named a BCHL all star in 1997 - 1998 season.After his junior career, he played three years in the ACAC, his first two with the GMCC Griffins and then finally with the Nait Ooks.Dave was named an all star in his second year with GMCC.

Dave graduated from the U of A in December of 2003 and has also finished a practicum with Steffany Hanlan to full certification as a Professional Power Skating Instructor.He also has experience as a fitness trainer with the Presence program.Away from The Hockey Program, Dave works as a teacher at Donnan Elementary teaching Social Studies and Science at the Grade 5 level, he also teaches power skating with the Quantum Speed program.Dave spends his summers working at hockey camps with the U of A Golden Bears and working with Quantum Speed.Dave still loves the game and plays competitively with the Fort Saskatchewan Hotel Chiefs in the senior AAA Chinook hockey league.

Dave's love for children and his passion for the game make him a valuable asset to the program and an instructor that student can really connect with.
