Mala joined the Bank in 1999 and brings strategic leadership to the Human Resources (HR) function, while ensuring that all HR policies and programs relate to the Bank's business objectives.Her responsibilities include the management of training and development, performance management, compensation, benefits, payroll and employment equity.Prior to joining the Bank, Mala managed the Human Resources Department of a large international financial services institution, where she provided leadership and consultation to all employees within a multi-location environment.She also designed and developed strategies to support business objectives and synergies within sister companies.Mala is a Certified Human Resource Professional and graduated with a B.A. Cum Laude from the University of Hartford, U.S.A.She currently serves as a member of the Status of Women Committee for the City Toronto.
