Stan has prosecuted patent applications in the computer software and mechanical arts.Regarding computer software, Stan has worked in the following technology fields: telecommunications, Internet technologies and Internet marketing, cable networks, user interfaces, graphic display and 3D-rendering, and data mining.In the mechanical arts, Stan has worked in the following fields: aerospace, mining, lasers and optics, medical devices, radiography, photographic process printers, scanners, holographic printing techniques; radio frequency measurement devices, batteries, rotary barrel engines and conventional combustion engines; pulverizing mills, and broadband transmission utilizing wavelets.

Prior to joining Merchant & Gould, Stan was a patent attorney with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, and prior to that with Holme, Roberts & Owen LLP.
