  Following three more public information meetings scheduled with large landowners, Supervisor Yendell asked Comprehensive Plan Committee Chairperson George Gotcsik to go to the committee and work to establish a further reduction in lot size from the Town's existing requirement of 2 1/2 acres.

  While designing regulations that both attract development and preserve a region's rural character "is quite a challenge," it can be done, said Lima Planning Board chairman George Gotcsik.
  
  Development and community preservation "are not incompatible," said Gotcsik.
  
  Now is a good time to adopt new zoning regulations, Gotcsik said, "because the nice thing about the corridor now from Canandaigua to Lima is that there hasn't yet been a lot of development.So we have an opportunity to get communities to work together" to shape the development that will come.
